Online Self-Care and Resiliency Training Program

Welcome to The Wellnurse, the only online self-care and resiliency program for nurses and healthcare workers. 

The Wellnurse is a sustainable and accessible program that teaches practical skills to help nurses maintain their self-care and gain more fulfillment in their careers.

We are passionate about helping others through wellness education, specifically those who are there for us during our greatest time of need, nurses.

What makes our program unique?

The Wellnurse training program is unique for a couple of reasons. First, the program is specifically geared to address the challenges that are inherent to nurses; burnout, fatigue and lack of fulfillment. The program addresses these factors with self-care techniques and tools that are relevant to nurses. For example, our mindfulness training features meditations that address stresses that are common place in patient care settings.

 

Second, The Wellnurse training program offers rich online content, practical skills and assessments to ensure mastery of self-care techniques and best practices. We’ve found that online learning coupled with coaching support is more conducive to accommodate a nurse’s hectic schedule. We also provide onsite kick-off events to create and sustain engagement.

Why Is a wellness program for nurses necessary?

The easy answer is that nurses are experiencing burnout at higher rates than ever before and traditional wellness programs do not address their specific needs. The main sources of burnout are constant fatigue, lack of fulfillment, and compassion fatigue (USF Health 2019). Unfortunately, these are issues that no other wellness program addresses. It was reported in 2017 (Kronos, Inc.) that 63% of nurses reported feeling burned-out. This burnout factor eventually leads to nurses leaving the profession. This results in high turnover rates of 16.7% according to Nursing Solutions, Inc.

The Wellnurse Tools

The Wellnurse program is structured around 4 main foundational concepts that we believe are the core structure to building resiliency and fostering stress management.

Mind

In our Mind module you’ll learn to rewrite the survival brain and retrain the mind to function for lasting change.

Body

In our Body module we teach breathing and movement techniques and healthy eating and sleep habits to help build resiliency.

Nature

Our Nature module is a big component that sets us apart. We’ll teach you ways to use nature to help restore the mind and body.

Purpose

In the Purpose module we’ll build a personal mission statement that will help you stay connected to your purpose to combat burnout.
